About Amy

Amy Cathey, LCSW

Amy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over twenty years of clinical and therapeutic experience.   She is passionate about helping others build on their strengths, live authentically, and have healthy, fulfilling relationships.     Amy values helping clients achieve the changes and goals they identify and bring to therapy.  She believes a strong therapeutic connection between client and therapist is essential for change, growth and healing to occur.  Amy's therapeutic style is rooted in respect, compassion and warmth.  She has an eclectic approach to therapy and frequently utilizes humor.  

Amy has experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families in a variety of organizations including community mental health, inpatient, outpatient, school, and medical settings.  Amy received her BA in social work from Baylor University and her MSW from Tulane University. Amy has lived and worked in Louisiana, Texas and Colorado and has been licensed in the state of Colorado since 2006.  She is also a member of the National Association of Social Workers. 

When not providing therapy, Amy spends time and enjoys life with her favorites: her husband and two daughters.  She also enjoys cooking, reading, live music, volunteering, and being outside in Colorado.
